Downtown Detroit

Christmas Tree Shopping

I finally got to use my roof rack!
Going to get the tree!

You have to actually saw it yourself!!!
Jackie is my favorite because what you see in the picture is about all she ever did. I think the only words I heard her say were "puppy" while pointing at anything from the deer at the christmas tree lot to the moose head at the resturant we went to after, and she said some form of the word yes when asked if she was cold.

Thanksgiving Day

Julie's sister and brother-in-law came over with their 4.5 kids (the next one will be here in April). This is Jackie

Sony, Betsy, Joe, and I (Julie's parents)

We convinced the kids we were supposed to have nap time after dinner, otherwise we would get in big trouble. They never asked who we would be in trouble with!
Justin, the birthday boy (Julie's nephew)
Julia, Jenna, and Joey with Sony
The after turkey pose

Sony, taking care of business.

Snow!

I thought this tree looked cool.

We woke up to snow on Thanksgiving morning!

The first touch of sonw!

Thanksgiving in Detroit

This is a tree at the House of Hope!
Sony and I drove up to Julie's house in Detroit last Wednesday for Thanksgiving

Phone Pictures

I've really been wanting to blog lately and the funny thing is the only time I have had time is while at work! So of course I forgot my camera cord so that I could put some sweet pictures of fall up and some pictures of Sony and I! I do however have my phone so here are some not so good pictures that I took with that.
This is Lake Shelly where I usually go running with my friend Alisa (finally got to go last Wednesday with her and Sony)
Tried to capture the bright red/orange trees on the way to work
The lone red tree

This was a first run on a treadmill picture of Sony.
Sony is my friend from Mexico who has come to live with me for a few months. I will try and get some more pictures of our adventures up soon! But it has been a busy week and is only going to get worse as I finish up a weekend at the house and work Monday and Tuesday at Starbucks before Sony and I take the 11 hour drive to Detroit on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with my "roommate" Julies family.

Send Us Water!

Well, it is official. Or perhaps it actually has been since October 16th when the city of Raleigh banned outside watering! It just became official to me when I received the 3 page letter from the utilities commission detailing what I can and cannot do with water.
1. We cannot water lawns and shrubbery at homes and businesses.
2. We cannot wash down houses, driveways or sidewalks (dang).
3. We can't wash our cars.
4. Restaurants are to ONLY serve water to patrons when they ask!

So....send us your water and sinus meds...its going to be a dry winter!
