Hello

This was hilarious because we were driving and she was babbling away saying a whole lot of nothing until she saw a random man on the side of the road and decided to say hi.

More Travel

So on Thursday I headed once again to the airport to catch my flight through Memphis, TN to Shreveport, LA to visit Chris, Jon and Emily. I got to the airport a couple hours early so I could actually have a ride there but to my dismay when I checked in the flight was already delayed an hour and 20min. Since my layover in Memphis was only an hour I was a little anxious to figure out a new itinerary. Unfortunately no one showed up at my gate until about 1130am (my flight was to leave at 12pm). Well, when the lady arrived she changed the flight status to say "cancelled." I got in line behind a couple and two other ladies. The couple got routed on US Air through DC and then to Memphis. The next lady was sent to some other airline and the third received a full refund because there were no other flights to Memphis! So when it was my turn I feared the worst and was afraid my fate would be a return to the airport tomorrow...with no ride! Well as soon as she saw my ticket she ran to the next gate over and talked a lady before running back. The gate next to me was just about finished boarding and was off to Detroit....next thing I knew I was on that flight and on my way to Detroit! So I ended up there and then straight to Shreveport getting in only 40min later than I would have on my original flights!!! Only...no luggage. This would have been no big deal since I half expected it and was just glad to be there except that I had to wait about an hour for someone to come take down my number and to not give me a claim number! On top of this I found out the next day when I got my bags that they had been there the whole time!!!!

REALLY????

Well, I am currently sitting in a Motel 6...in Dallas, Texas....eating pizza. How? you might ask. Or Why? Well, Let me explain:

I am sitting on my plane at LAX. Buckled as we got ready to push back from the gate. Next thing I know a small 5 year old girl is standing next to me crying looking to the lady next to me (her mom). I am sitting in the aisle, her mom next to me and another small child by the window. Well the 5 year old does not want to sit with grandma and is scared. So older sister agrees to switch places. I get up and older sister climbs over mom and heads to the front. 5 year old heads toward mom but as mom picks her up to put her in the window seat her leg gets caught on a piece of metal sticking out from the seat back pocket thing! Well the metal rips a pretty large gash out of her leg and there is blood gushing everywhere. I head to the back and grab toilet paper while the stewardess' scramble and get paramedics on the way. After an hour of me standing in the aisle while the medics and mom decide she can fly to Dallas for the stitches we finally head on our way. Well I didn't get off the plane until 8:20pm and my flight was to leave at 8:25. After the train to my terminal it was confirmed that my flight was missed and I found myself getting a voucher for Motel 6 and waiting for a van to take me there.
The little girl wrote me this note....lucky for her she was really cute!
I gave her this lion from grandmas to hold while she was crying and gushing blood.
At last I get to eat!

Grandma Hale

As most of you already know, my grandma passed away last tuesday. I flew into CA on Wednesday and we had services for her on Sunday. It was nice to share some of many great memories with friends and relatives. She is loved and will be missed by us all!
