Zoo

Last Wednesday was the annual field trip to the zoo day for the House of Hope so I of course was the first to volunteer to go! Here are some pictures and videos compliments of myself and one of the girls who swiped my camera halfway through when her battery's died.

Zoo Trip

This bear was really hungry and there were lots of little kids. I am pretty sure he was trying to figure out if he could clear the small body of water and tiny fence.

I hatched!
Getting us a ride
Some animal with a white butt.

If you look close there is a bobcat.
Sasquash. I made all the girls take a picture.
River otter! I really wanted one until I was watching animal cops, South Africa the other day and one started attacking the vet and biting and hissing at him. It was scary.

California Sea Lions! (poor things had to be shipped to NC!)
The girls LOVED watching them swim and were intrigued by the fact that they appeared to have their eyes closed as they did it.

Crazy

Last weekend our Area Manager and Starbucks (I think that is what he is called) - the one who strolls in once a month with the district manager and everyone does all the things we are supposed to do all along. Like write names on the cups and call them out (for some reason my manager hates this and refuses to do this on a regular basis...I love it because I am bad with names). Anyway Last Saturday night he had a heart attack and died in his sleep. Crazy.

Snow In March

Here is what is left of the 3in of snow we got Monday night. For some reason I thought it was March and therefore we should be getting some sort of Spring weather. Eh. So with the crazy Raleigh folk and they way they fear snow I was stranded at the House of Hope until about 1:30pm since their school was called off. My relief came in so I could head home to get to Starbucks, which closed an hour early to avoid the ice that didn't form after the snow :).

New Bed

I finally got my first big girl bed! A queen size. Chris...ah...I still do have the curtains up but as you can see by the bed spread we might have to talk about my birthday. I promise it was the only one I liked and Sarah got mad when I wanted to pick a plain colored one.
